Pacific Re is the only Pacific owned & based reinsurer operating since 1997 equating to 26 years of existence. As a Pacific-based professional reinsurer, we bring a unique perspective to the table, deeply understanding both local and international insurance markets.

Pacific Re Limited is incorporated in Papua New Guinea and commenced operation in 1997 to conduct reinsurance business activities. The company transacts business from Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. Our business operations and partnerships are focused primarily within the Papua New Guinea market and extend throughout the broader Pacific Region. This includes strategic engagements and collaborative relationships across Micronesia, Timor-Leste, and New Zealand.

The company benefits from sturdy security backing provided by a global panel of reinsurers, most of whom hold a “AAA” rating from S&P Global and other leading rating agencies. This strong reinsurance support enables the company to deliver secure, reliable, and competitive services to the insurance industry both locally and across the Pacific Region.
